Our final feedback session will be held this evening [Thursday] outside the town hall. I hope you all can make it! It’s the last chance to have your comments included in the concept designs.
We will be showcasing all the draft concept designs which include:
- Clyde Circus: Trees, build outs and bike hangars
- Beaconsfield Road: Improved contraflow
- Tynemouth Road / Antill road: Road closure & cycle contraflow
- Markfield Road: draft layout change
- Brunswick park: Entrances and paths
- Roslyn Road barrier: re-design
- Avenue Road: Cycling Contraflow
Apologies, I have had to cancel tonight’s feedback, due to gathering more information and preparing plans for Stonebridge Road etc . Instead we will hold sessions on Monday (Page Green) and Wednesday next week. I will upload the drafts for comment and let you know as soon as they are up.
We are also preparing a rough proposal for Markfield Road due to the high demand for it to change. All these will be on display at Page Green on Monday around the vent including new draft concept for the Roslyn Road Barrier.
We had a great feedback session on Tynemouth Road and potential closure of Antill Road to through traffic, with some new ideas coming out of it which we will feed into the designs for Monday.
We welcome your comments and ideas as always.
Apologies again for tonight’s cancellation
All the best
Edit – Thursday session for PAge Green is cancelled, see later post.
Tonight near the Tynemouth medical centre car park, we will be there with some draft concept plans for the Tynemouth Road Cycle Contraflow and the potential closing of Antill road between Tynemouth rd and Springfield road. We’ve decided to set up tonight on the corner of Antill Road and Tynemouth Rd where the event is. Look for signs! Please come along and share your opinions and ideas!! What would you like to see change? Continue reading
Just a reminder that tonight we will be hosting the Tynemouth Area Co-design session where our urban designer and engineer will be on hand to draw up some concepts with you. It will be held in the Tynemouth Road medical Centre car park from 6-8pm. Please come along and bring your ideas and opinions!
We will collaboratively look at how we can design in a cycle lane contraflow along the western half of Tynemouth road, adding in greenery and maybe removing some parking spaces… what do you think? We will also look at signage, bike storage, general greening and incorporating play routes and spaces for children. Is there anything else you would like us to look at? Continue reading

Sunday – the Tottenham one-way system is shut today during a crime scene investigation. It’s causing the expected chaos:
Severe delays and road closed due to police incident on A503 Forest Road / Broad Lane / Fountayne Road Westbound between A1006 Blackhorse Road (Blackhorse Road Station) and A10 High Road (Seven Sisters). Closed since around 06:00 this morning because of a stabbing in the Broad Lane part of the Tottenham Hale one way system. Closures are in place from Blackhorse Road Station, and Watermead Way from Northumberland Park as a result. Major delays in the area. Diversion: Southbound traffic on the A10 is diverted north up Watermead Way, or east to Blackhorse Road. Traffic wishing to get from Bruce Grove towards Stamford Hill will have to divert via side streets or past Turnpike Lane Station. [from Haringey Independent
Basically, forget it. It just took me nearly three hours to get to Page Green from Ally Pally.
