bfm International Film Festival 2015 (bmiff2015) – Bernie Grant Arts Centre, starts tonight

Thurs 2nd July to Sunday 5th July.

The acclaimed Black filmmaker International Film Festival 2015 (bfmiff2015) returns! ‘Bringing the unseen to light!’ The landmark film festival is back!

This year’s films hail from countries to include Brazil, Jamaica, Kenya, Japan, the USA and Cameroon.

Included in the features screenings are UK Shorts and World Shorts Programmes. Themes in the film are varied and touch on the human experience in profound ways. We’re equally thrilled to show a strong section of film from women directors especially in the science-fiction genre.

bfmiff2015’s Opening Night film is ‘Looking For Love’, the latest feature from the Director Menelik Shabazz. It enjoyed a sell-out at its Premier in London’s BFI. Workshops and Seminars are centred to the festival.

We’re excited to include in this varied programme ‘Special Effects in the Film Industry’, ‘Breaking the Blockages to Making Your Film’, and ‘Producing a Web Series’.

Book your tickets on BGAC website (external link) or keep up to date with the latest bfmiff2015 information via Twitter @bfmiff (external link) or Facebook (external link). We can’t wait to see you!
