DIY Community Streets: SoTo area Co-design sessions this week

Help feed back about traffic in South Tottenham. What are your thoughts a year since the Gyratory has gone?

DIY Community Streets: Tynemouth, Page Green and Clyde area Co-design sessions

Sustrans makes smarter travel choices possible, desirable and inevitable. We`re a leading UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day.

From DIY Community Streets Tottenham:

We have two more co-design session scheduled for next week. On 30th June, 6-8pm we will host a co-design session in the Tynemouth Area – in the car park of the Tynemouth Road Health Centre if the weather holds out. Our second one next week will be for the Clyde Area, 1st July, 6-8pm in Clyde Road East, on the bridge above the railway, again if the weather holds out.

In these sessions we will be collecting and collating all the info we have so far, and collaboratively design the interventions with our urban designer and traffic engineer. These will be developed into concept designs, which we will gather your feedback on in the coming weeks.

30th June, 6-8pm:

In the Tynemouth Area we will look at:

  • Tynemouth road cycling contraflow
  • Narrowing the entrance to Tynemouth road from the high road to prevent HGVs rat running through area
  • How to incorporate more children’s play spaces,
  • General greening of the area

And any other suggestions that are raised.

1st July, 6-8pm:

In the Clyde area we will look at

  • Clyde Road East
  • Beaconsfield road contraflow
  • The crossing on corner of Clyde Road and Lawrence road
  • Any other suggestions…

Please come along and have your say!!!

If you cannot make these sessions, I will be doing an info pop-up stall today on the corner of Clyde Road and Beaconsfield Road this afternoon from 2.30-4.30pm and tomorrow 25th June on the corner of Broad Lane and Markfield Road 12-2pm, and again tomorrow afternoon on Page Green from 3pm-5pm. Please come and find me! We also have an online map you can add your comments and suggestions to here https://communitymaps.sustrans.org.uk/tottenham.php or just email/call/text me! Our website is here https://diytottenham.wordpress.com/

Looking forward to seeing you soon! Please forward to your neighbours and anyone you think may be interested!
