TWO great-sounding events this weekend at Markfield Park

On Saturday, the Canalology 2014 Festival  and on Monday 5th,  bank holiday, the first Tottenham Ploughmans’ event to happen this far south.   Really looking forward to both.

The Canalology festival is about much more than canals: A new art festival for Tottenham – for just one day twelve artists and artist groups will present new contemporary artworks and projects inspired by canalside Tottenham.Join us for a free exhibition taking place in public spaces between Markfield Park and Stonebridge Lock and accompanied by art workshops, storytelling and talks.

Canalology exhibition - new artists

POST Artists are creating new site-specific temporary artworks for the area including sculpture, performance art, drawing, digital animation, installation and architecture. From Markfield Park, N15 4RB, along the canal path to Stonebridge Lock, N17 0XD.

All events are free – All welcome – Join us on Saturday 3 May!

The Tottenham Ploughman is back! Find us at Markfield Park N15 by the banks of the river Lea.

Wildes cheese, Redemption brewery, Flourish bakery, Living Under One Sun, Tottenham WI and more.

Live music from;

The Tottenham Choir, Pan Nation steel drum orchestra, local accordion players Clive Bell and Sylvia Hallet.

Theatre from local company Tempus Experientia.

Kids art class from Tottenham Arts

Local groups including Thames 21 & The Friends of Markfield Park.

The Markfield Beam Engine will be steaming.
