Two exhibitions at Bruce Castle till end June

Exhibition – Changing Seasons: A View From The West Side

Generous and energetic applications of layers and layers of paint on giant canvasses by Haringey’s own Philip Diggle, one of the UK’s best abstract artists.

His ‘art with attitude’ emerged from the late 70s and early 80s politics and the Punk Movement; he is inspired by the world around him and translates this into the physicality of paint.

The paintings are for sale.

Exhibition: Charles Henry Holman – Haringey in Paint

An intimate collection of paintings, sketches and illustrations by Charles Holman (1919-2008), capturing figures and familiar views from around Haringey.

Holman’s work dates from the 1950s. He trained at Hornsey College of Art, and later taught in Crouch End.
