West Green Rd Improvement Group update + consultation

From the Tottenham Town Centre Growth Manager

Thank you to those who were able to attend the meeting in April.  We had some great feedback from Make Room’s presentation, we are now keen to move to the next stage. I have attached the slides from the presentation.

The consultation period and location has been confirmed as starting Monday 20th to Friday 31st May at West Green Road Post Office. The Post Office will host an exhibition were the wider public will be able to have a view on the options presented to you at the last meeting. On the afternoon of Tuesday 21st  and morning of Thursday 23rd May both Megan from Make Room and I will be in the Post Office to speak to people on a one to one basis. People will also be able to contribute to the consultation via an online survey at www.haringey.gov.uk/westgreenroad – this page will be live on the 20th May. We are putting up posters to encourage people to have their say, these will be sited on the exterior of Premier Cafe and Kejetia so we catch footfall coming from both ends of the road. I have updated the action plan with all actions including those from our last meeting. Action plan >>wgr Action Plan 04_2013 An ongoing issue raised on the action plan is around parking enforcement. I have received several complaints about pay and display parking not being enforced by the Parking Officer in West Green Road. Parking have asked me to forward the following information:

Irene Rice is our Enforcement Manager. She can be contacted on 0208 489 2102. We do monitor this area and deal with any CEOs who are not following the enforcement policy they have been fully trained in.  We do need to know CEO number of the officer and any specific vehicle not enforced and we are happy to take information without caller giving their name.

When I am in the area I will follow up on this too and report my findings to Irene.

The next West Green Road meeting will take place early June. Following that meeting I will feedback to you on the results of the consultation and the next steps.

Kind regards

Gemma Aked
