WCC Book & Plant Sale 12 – 4pm Sunday 12th May. Pueblita Paisa Cafe
This Sunday 12th May we’ll be outside in the sun holding a book and plant sale to raise funds to pay the WCC’s legal costs. Although two weeks ago our claim was not granted permission the legal challenge is ongoing and we are currently working on our options to appeal this decision. We still have lots of money to raise and its your support that keeps the campaign going and keeps Wards Corner open.
We’ll also be accepting donations of books and plants from 9:30am on Sunday.
Wards Corner Portrait Project
Photographer, Stephanie Rose Wood has taken up residence in Studio Gortazar (Unit 43) in the Indoor Market and is offering free portrait sessions for residents and traders of Wards Corner. Stephanie will be in the market most days until Saturday 18th May and she encourages people to pop in when they have a free ten minutes.
The photographs will be used as part of a photo story about Wards Corner and the legal battle. Stephanie hopes that the photo story will raise awareness of the cause and help to raise funds for legal costs.
If you would like to get involved and make the most of a free portrait session, please get in contact with Stephanie via her email, StephanieWood.Photography@gmail.com or pop in and see her in the market.
