There was recently a planning application to build 158 dwellings on this large but rather hidden open area where the north-south and east-west railway lines cross. It got turned down but is likely to be made again. Among objectors were the local Friends of the Earth, and two ward councillors.
Several of us have arranged to visit the site this Wednesday 17th April at 6.30pm meeting in the High Road just south of the Overground railway bridge (opposite Crowland Road). The entrance is opposite the Dutch House pub, through the little dead-end road next to the corner shop. Anyone who is free would be welcome to come along and discuss what may be possible.
